Advanced Web Searching Using Google

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

You will be an expert Google searcher after attending this BYOD session. Learn how to use the AND and OR Boolean operators to add context and specificity to your search query, to search for webpage titles that match your subject, to limit search results to a single top level domain like .edu or .gov., to limit the search to a single website like ERIC (eric.ed.gov) and to limit results to a single country like Germany or the United Kingdom. With the knowledge you have gained from the session you will be able to teach your students a search query development method that will enable them to progress beyond keyword searching and become expert Google users just like you.
