Brainstorm 2017 has ended

Welcome to the Brainstorm 2017: Future Ready Students conference website.

PLEASE NOTE:  Using this tool to mark your personal scheduling preferences does not reserve a seat for marked sessions, nor does it register you for the conference.  

We do not plan to have paper programs available on site. If you would like a printed program, select the printer icon to the right to print a personal copy.  

Photography:
Brainstorm 2017 is held in a public space, therefore we do not prohibit participants, exhibitors, sponsors, or news organizations from photographing conference activities. VSTE, SVTC and James Madison University reserve the right to use images taken at the Conference with your photograph and/or likeness on social media and/or in future marketing materials. We are NOT responsible for individual attendee’s use of your image or likeness.

Parking:
Parking will be available on campus but it is limited. Consider car pooling.

Would you like an easy to use digital portfolio for your students? Seesaw is a great and simple way to have students add their work to a digital portfolio. It's simple enough that students can add the their work themselves. You can even connect parents and use it to send out class information, pictures, and newsletters. My favorite part is that students can easily add a recording so they can explain their thinking or read their writing to an authentic audience.

Attendees will have a hands-on experience with the student side of Seesaw and they will see the teacher side and learn how to set up a class. They will take away ideas for using it in the classroom, as well as a digital folder of resources.
